Tuesday, June 2, 2015 - Mobile, AL to Birmingham, AL

Todd: "USA! USA!"

We went for a sundae drive (YUM).

Are the people who built a shrine to Abba flexing?

Oh, we found it all right.

Deer?

Where America washes her tanks.

Todd is now just north of 43.

Hi Leroy!

No comment needed.

So, who was in charge back there??

Oh yes

He's going to drop off a log.

We HAD to go pay our respects.

We met David, the guy who lives/works in this building. It is a former Jewish Social Club. The NY Times ran an article on David a few years back. This is the article.

We went inside his studio. It was awesome.

David also told us to go see Selma's beautiful old synagogue. It was built in 1899.

$2.75 for all of this? What a deal! Or do they mean $275.00?

We hope not.

We got to the ballpark at Birmingham, AL.We parked a few blocks away and this little golf cart drove us to the park.

We are at Regions Field to see the Birmingham Barons (AA for the White Sox) play the Biloxi Shuckers (AA for the Brewers) This is the same match-up we saw in Huntsville for Biloxi's home game. We know, very confusing.

The Joe Drake Ticket Office

The field

He knows.

Oh, we know these guys!

Side job?

Bill Buckner was there signing autographs. We missed it.

Kid park

From the outfield lawn seats

There is a great history of baseball in Birmingham.

So many Pennants!

Outfield rocking chairs

The view from these chairs

Stephanie likes this guy. He made some great defensive plays when we saw him in Huntsville.

There was a collision in the outfield.

They had to carry this guy off the field.

Some former players

Tito fed Stephanie. Go Tribe!

At the sno-cone stand, you choose your own syrup.

Joba

Wrong! Stephanie has seen crying in baseball! (Poor Julian Tavarez)

Hanging out on the lawn

We have the same sense of humor as a 14 year old boy.

New friends

Us!

FULL MOON

Countdown clock again.

We had to take the picture early in case they took down the final score early again...

...which they did.

We walked through a very nicely-lit tunnel to get back to the car.
